Sharon Runner
Candidate - Member of the State Assembly - 36th District
San Bernardino County Ballot Statement

Business Owner, Educator, Republican Leader

As a native of the High Desert, I understand the people and needs of our district.

My experience includes being a business owner, co-founder of one of California's most respected private schools, past Chamber of Commerce director and community volunteer in local non-profit organizations.

President George W. Bush chose me as one of his Regional Campaign Directors because of my strong commitment to conservative principles. President Bush and Bob Dole appointed me as their delegate to Republican National Conventions.

Governor Pete Wilson appointed me as a Fair Board Director, responsible for overseeing a multi-million dollar budget.

State Senator Pete Knight supports me because of my record of working with our communities in job creation.

1st District Supervisor Bill Postmus supports me because of his desire to see an effective legislator represent the High Desert.

The San Bernardino County Safety Employees Association and the California Coalition of Law Enforcement Associations support me because of my commitment to public safety.

Numerous city and town council members, including the Mayor and all four Victorville councilmembers, support me.

I'm a life-long community leader who will fight for lower taxes and less waste in government. I'll work to bring accountability to our schools. I support stiffer punishment for criminals, including violent juveniles and gang members.

I'd be honored to represent you in Sacramento; I will serve as an effective leader for you. Thank you for your vote on November 5th.
